In this course, we will focus on answering the two big questions. Why is climate changing? What can we do to reverse or slow down climate change trends?
Through this class, students will learn about the scientific concepts that underlie climate change such as greenhouse gas emissions, the natural carbon cycle, and the implications of melting polar ice caps. They will also engage in activities such as researching renewable energy sources and creating climate change awareness campaigns.
Overall, this class would give students an opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the science behind climate change, explore its social implications, and begin understanding how to create a meaningful change in their communities.
