5 Ws: Who, What, When, Where, and Why.
Students will learn about basic elements of the story: characters, plot, chronology, conflict/tensions, setting, scenes, theme, dialogue, point of view, pacing, patterns.
Students will apply Freytag's pyramid, understanding the 5 parts of the story plot: exposition (introduction), rising action (rise), climax, falling action (return or fall), and finale (catastrophe, denouement, resolution, or revelation).
